it all began with one man's vision
Founded in 1997 in Metro Atlanta by seasoned construction veteran Dave Ecker, Ecker Construction was built on his vision and expertise in both residential and commercial construction. Over the past 25 years, Dave has grown the company, cultivated a skilled team, and developed a strong client base, delivering an impressive portfolio of projects ranging from high end office builds to complex medical projects. Under his leadership, Ecker Construction has expanded its footprint, moving beyond Atlanta's vibrant communities to serve clients across the Southeast, including Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.
2011

In 2011, Taylor Sharrett joined Ecker Construction as a Construction Project Manager and quickly advanced through the ranks, ultimately becoming Vice President. Fully aligned with the company’s vision, values, and commitment to both its team and clients, Taylor’s dedication to Ecker’s success was evident from the start.

Ecker Construction has built a strong foundation of loyal clients while embarking on an exciting journey of expansion into new markets. After relocating to Buford in July 2020, we’ve settled into our new office and positioned ourselves to tap into previously unexplored territories. This strategic expansion opens up more opportunities for our employees and enhances our ability to serve existing clients in new regions. In addition to our Buford headquarters, we have expanded with a new office in Gainesville, reinforcing our presence and commitment to growth.
As part of this evolution, Ecker Construction has undergone a leadership transition. With Dave Ecker now retired, Taylor Sharrett has taken over the reins, ensuring the company’s continued success and dedication to excellence. Ecker’s rebranding efforts reflect this dynamic evolution, paving the way for a bright, adaptable future.

Fully invested in the company, its vision, its team, and its clients, Taylor Sharrett became the sole owner in 2022 and assumed the role of President. With a clear focus on driving Ecker Construction’s growth as one of the Southeast's premier commercial contractors, Taylor and his team are dedicated to staying at the forefront of technology, design innovation, and sustainable building practices. Taylor Sharrett is a dynamic leader in the construction industry with over 20 years of experience. As President of Ecker Construction, he combines a strong work ethic with a genuine passion for exceeding client expectations. Taylor’s approach is rooted in Southern hospitality, treating everyone with respect and always putting the client first.
Under his leadership, Ecker Construction has seen remarkable growth and expanded its portfolio to include almost all markets of construction: multifamily, hospitality, industrial, medical, restaurant, retail, and office projects. Taylor’s hands-on approach and outgoing personality have made him a trusted partner to clients, and his commitment to excellence shines through in every project his team delivers.
Taylor is deeply invested in bettering his community, and his dedication and passion make him a true asset to the construction industry. As a Georgia native, he enjoys football, hunting, and fishing, bringing the same drive and dependability to those passions as he does to every project he leads.
